Symposium on Cancer Control: Challenges & Opportunities Album and presentations

The first ever Hong Kong Cancer Day cum symposium was held on 7 and 8 December 2013 respectively. It was organized in collaboration with Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), 40 government, NGOs, professional bodies, academic institutes and private corporations to raise awareness on cancer. This ground breaking endeavour is to echo the World Cancer Day promulgated by the World Health Organization (WHO) in collaboration with the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) and UICC, which normally falls on 4th February each year.
The symposium was held on 7 December 2013 (Sat) at the Auditorium of the HK Federation of Youth Groups Building at North Point. We are honoured to receive full support and dedicated attendance from both local and international cancer organizations. We are very privileged to have Prof. Sophia Chan, JP, Under Secretary for Food and Health as Guest-of-Honour, Dr. C.H. Leong as Honorary Advisor, Prof. Mary Gospodarowicz, President of UICC and Dr. Constance Chan, Director of Health as the keynote speakers for the Cancer Symposium on Cancer Control. We are also very pleased to have many local experts in the field to moderate and speak in various topics on cancer in the symposium.
